Our pastors provide teaching, serve the sacraments of the Lord's Supper (Communion) and baptism and other such services

Dr Rod Pinder, Sr Pastorrod pinder2

Pastor Rod, who is a native Floridian, grew up in Miami and later graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park with a degree in Philosophy and Religion. After graduation Rod worked as a Community Relations Officer for the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Later, he attended Union Theological Seminary in Virginia and earned a Doctor of Ministry in Worship degree, as well as a Master of Theology in New Testament (Acts 2:14-39).

Happily married to his wife Pat since 1979, they have lived in East Orange County since 1988. They have two children, Jessica a UCF graduate, working as an Assistant Admissions Representative at Full Sail College, and Michael who is currently a student at the University of Central Florida.

Before being called into full-time ministry, Rod wanted to be a jazz musician. This love of music continues to have a great influence on his ministry. Rod enjoys working with Woodbury’s youth and helping to lead worship by using his musical talents. Most of all, he loves being a pastor and sharing God's love with people on a personal level.

As of July 31, 2019, Pastor Rod Pinder retired and we are currently looking for a new Pastor. In the mean time, we are blessed to have guest preachers that are speaking here at Woodbury Presbyterian Church every Sunday morning at 10 A.M. Pastor Rod is staying busy. He has his own web site at https://PastorRodPinder.com

Ruby Prasad, Commissioned Ruling Elder

Ruby Prasad is Woodbury's Commissioned Lay Pastor (CLP).  As such she ministers to the sick, the shut-in and in other ways assists Pastor Rod.

Rev David Nixon (ELCA), Affiliate Pastor

Reverend Dave Nixon and his wife have worshiped with Woodbury for years now.  He has been ready to help whenever someone needed pastoral help and Pastor Rod was not available.  In recognition of his relationship with us and continued heart to serve, the Session recently chose to recognize that relationship.
